This is where I learned to build IT that runs a business, not just supports it. At Shilo Inns I took 40+ hotel properties from a literal office-basement setup to enterprise-grade operations. I stood up the company's first multi-tier IT team and ticketing system, moved everything into a professional data center, and modernized the property management systems that ran the front desks. I built PCI-DSS compliance across every property handling guest payments, and cut costs by more than 30% through smart vendor consolidation. The responsive mobile website I designed in-house? Its core architecture is still in production more than a decade later.

I ran the infrastructure other companies depend on, right through the years cloud rewrote the rules. Across Peak Hosting, UnitedLayer, and Xtreme Consulting, I directed data center operations at 99.99% uptime and built compliance frameworks for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA across facilities spanning the US and India. I led a 1,000+ asset VMware migration for a major healthcare client at 100% uptime. And when Peak Hosting closed its doors, I was promoted into the crisis, orchestrating every customer migration to partner data centers with zero data loss. High stakes is where I do my clearest work.

The work that energizes me most is building support organizations from nothing, then growing the people inside them. I optimize complex, logic-driven workflows through automation and integration. At EIS, my career-defining project, I built complete operational infrastructure from zero for a $100M+ SaaS portfolio, wiring seven systems into one observability pipeline and launching in six months, on time and on budget. The whole company adopted the model, and my VP wrote that "there are very few people in the world that could have accomplished this." At NAVEX I cut resolution time in half. I was building systems like these long before AI made it easier, and now I use AI to push them further. What ties it all together is how I develop people. Through thoughtful coaching and steady, progressive one-on-ones, I have turned teammates into standout performers while building stronger teams around them. I lead by starting with why, having the hard conversations early, and surrounding the work with people who are humble, hungry, and smart.

Some of my most demanding work has lived inside regulated walls, and that's exactly where I'm most comfortable. At Clinicient I ran technical support for an EMR platform serving 4,000+ healthcare customers, with HIPAA governing every interaction and HL7 and EDI moving protected health information between providers and insurers. At EIS I operated in a high-compliance insurance SaaS environment built on SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS. And at NAVEX I supported the very software companies use to run policy attestation, compliance training, and ethics programs. I treat compliance as a foundation to build on, not a box to check.
